UL DQS Inc.

In order to support customers’ growing global needs, Underwriter’s Laboratories Inc. (UL), an independent certification and testing company working for a safer world since 1894, merged its Management Systems Solutions business with DQS in 2008. DQS GmbH was founded on February 1, 1985 by the German Society for Quality (DGQ)) and (German Institute for Standardization (DIN) to be the first German registrar for the certification of management systems. The two companies merged in 2008 to form one of the top certification bodies in the world.
